Music 4 Mental Health - a Mixtape Chorus event for Mental Health Month
Date Posted: Wed, 2 Oct 2019
Join us at this free event which promotes the benefits of singing, music and community for good mental health - as part of Mental Health Month 2019.
Sponsored and coordinated by Canberra’s favourite fun, indie-pop choir, Mixtape Chorus, this event will showcase some of Canberra’s finest live musicians – who will both entertain and share with us their experiences of music’s positive benefits for mental health.
The thrilling line-up includes Canberra legends Endrey, JAYNE., Evan Buckley (The Burley Griffin) and Scoob McGoon. You will even get to experience first-hand the benefits of singing on our mental health, as we learn a song together with Mixtape Chorus!
Mixtape will be involved again this year in the Reclink Community Cup - a charity footy game where Canberra’s Musicians take on the Canberra Media! It’s a lot of fun and we love being part of it.
The Reclink Community Cup celebrates Australia’s dynamic music and community broadcasting sectors in a friendly game of AFL, all whilst raising funds to help Reclink Australia provide sporting and art opportunities for disadvantaged Australians.
It promises to be a cracking day, great music and footy, be there!!
Come along to the Mixtape Chorus Come and Try Night 2019!

Mixtape Chorus is back for 2019 for more bangers, buds and baked goods!
We can’t wait to see some old faces and welcome new ones at our Come and Try night on 7 Feb. Come along to Gorman Arts Centre (Main Hall), have a sing and see what we’re all about (spoiler: we’re not about auditions or formality or traditional choir songs. We’re all about fun, inclusion, friends, food and indie pop!)
